Timothy “TJ” O’Connor graduated at the top of his class in the Registered Electrical Apprenticeship Program. TJ also earned his electrical journeyman’s card and passed his master electrician test.

“We are so proud of TJ and his accomplishments. Young, eager electricians like him are the future of our industry,” says Chad Sanders, president of Quality Electric of the Coastal Carolinas.

In 2016, TJ earned first place in his class at the CECA Electricians Competition and Career Fair.

The Registered Electrical Apprenticeship Program is a four-year program that combines classes at Garrett Academy of Technology with hands-on learning at Charleston-area electrical contractors, like Quality Electric. The program is designed to train the future workforce.

CECA is a group of local electrical contractors that gather together with a common goal, to better the electrical industry. Quality Electric has been a member for more than 25 years.
